There are wonderful lists of hyphenated words, and words that were once hyphenated, and now, no longer are. While examining those lists, don't forget not to hyphenate words ending in ly. Okay, I've got that. What is the problem you ask? Compound words break my train of thought when writing. I have tried not to hesitate and keep myself from thinking, "Hyphenate? " with very little success. I know I am supposed to type first drafts with focus and not mix left, and right brained activity. But here is the situation - knowing is not doing.
